Splogs: Plagiarism En Masse

The term splog, or spam blog, is defined as a blog that’s designed solely to either promote another site, gain ad impressions or used to increase page rank. Generally speaking, these sites contain a great deal of content that is either pure nonsense or stolen from other sites.

    I suspect that most SplogSense (splogs w/ AdSense) accounts never actually get a cheque. The problem is that they think they will get a cheque, some actually do and that's enough to encourage the low-lifes. Google has to change that perception. Maybe they should report how many SplogSense accounts they've shutdown and we can all blog it to discourage further splogging.

    The SplogSense thieves have finally hit me by stealing my entire ezines (with articles I PAID to have written for my e-zines) and I'm fighting back, but it's hard when they don't give ANY accurate information on their sites and you have to search high and low to find someone to contact. When all else fails, contacting Google sounds like the best option. But other than suspend their accounts, what can they do? What if the sites are not hosted on a Google free blog? What if they're hosted elsewhere and the web hosts are ignoring your complaints, what do you do then?
