Here is Yahoo! India's quote on the blogger's protest on content theft which is being posted on the Yahoo! India's Malayalam portal (Food Section) later today.

Yahoo! respects the blogging community and the etiquette followed by bloggers. We regret any inconvenience caused by the inadvertent posting of the recipe without attribution.

The content on Yahoo! India's language portal is provided by Webdunia under the express representation that Webdunia has all the necessary rights and authorization for all the content provided by them. When this incident was reported, the recipe content was immediately removed to avoid any unnecessary conflict.

Yahoo! India is concerned about the sentiments of the blogging community as we completely endorse the values of blogging on the Internet.

What is the fun going around ??? It seems that the protester does not know what he or she prrotesting for ?? Does he have financial interests to claim million dollars from yahoo for a recipte which the protester has prepared ? If so, good luck. If you want this to share with me, I can join the protest as well. Funny things. This world is full of crazy people who do not have any creating thing to do. Good luck. Share the million dollar compensation with me too.............

Thank you very much for the heads up and I am embarassed to admit that I got that wrong. I've fixed the article.

Looking through my notes I see that a few other blogs made the same mistakes and I'll wager they got it wrong due to spell checking software.

The achille's heel of technology is exposed.

Plagiarism happened in Yahoo's Malayalam portal not Malaysia. It seems that you got confused between Malayalam and Malaysia. Malayalam is a language spoken in the South Indian state of Kerala. Malaysia is an independent country in South East Asia.
